HELLO and WELCOME!

 

My name is Sarah-Jane Seery. I will be your child's classroom teacher in Prep Maroon.

This is my third year teaching Prep at St Bernardines! Prep is a year of growth in so many ways! I am excited to be on this journey with you and your child for their first year of formal schooling. I believe that every child is an individual and has something really exciting to offer. I believe that students should learn in a safe and comfortable learning environment that is friendly, exciting, unique and inclusive.

I am VERY excited about the year ahead. I cannot wait to meet you and your child to start this wonderful journey of Prep. I am excited for your child to build and extend on their social, emotional, physical and intellectual wellbeing's.

A little bit about myself. I grew up in Ireland and lived there for 15 years. I moved to Australia in 2010 with my family. I have lived in Brisbane for 7 years. I graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Education specialising in the Early Years. On the weekend I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach and walks with my dog Cubby.  

 

I look forward to working in partnership with you throughout the year to provide the best possible learning journey and experiences for your child. I believe partnerships with parents and carers are essential, so please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
