Term 2 Curriculum Overview

This term we will be very busy in Prep Maroon.

In Religion this term we are learning about where people pray, what symbols they use, who/what they pray for and who they pray to. We will also explore liturgical seasons and celebrations from those seasons.

In Science, we will be investigating ocean and rainforest habitats and the needs of livings things.

In Health this term, we will investigate the attributes of a healthy lunchbox.

In English we will be building the student’s oral language skills, developing phonological awareness, reading and comprehension skills and developing knowledge of letter sound relationships. We will be continuing Popcorn Words and Guided Reading sessions this term.

In Mathematics we will be working on the numbers 1-10 and various mathematical concepts (including 3D shapes) to build upon their growing awareness.
