Term 3 Overview

In Religion this term we are learning about the Old Testament stories of Joseph and his Colourful Coat and David and Goliath. We will explore how we can be like Joseph and David in our own lives.

In Science, we will be investigating weather and weather changes.

In Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) this term we are going to learn about using a timeline to retell a story and plotting features on a map.

In English we will be building the student’s oral language skills, developing phonological awareness, reading and comprehension skills and developing knowledge of letter sound relationships. We will be continuing Popcorn Words and Guided Reading sessions this term.

In Mathematics we will be working on the numbers one-ten and various mathematical concepts (including time, measurement and positional language) to build upon their growing awareness
