In Religion this term we are learning about the two stories of Jesus' birth. We will explore how they are different or similar and what the stories mean for us today.
In Science, we will be investigating the properties of materials and the way things move through floating and sinking. We are reading the book 'Who Sank the Boat?' by Pamela Allen to help us learn about floating and sinking.
In Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) this term we are going to investigate family celebrations. To strengthen our oral language skills, we will be presenting some information to our classmates about a family celebration. More information about this will come home soon.
In English we will be building the student’s oral language skills, developing phonological awareness, reading and comprehension skills and developing knowledge of letter sound relationships. We will be continuing Popcorn Words and Guided Reading sessions this term.
In Mathematics we will have a strong focus on writing numbers around the correct way while continuing to recognise and represent numbers from 1-10. We will also be learning and revising various mathematical concepts (including mass, addition and sharing) to build upon their growing awareness.
