What's Ahead for Week 2?

Welcome to Week 2!

WOW!! What a wonderful first week of school n Prep Maroon.

Congratulations Prep Maroon on a fabulous week of learning and fun! You have done an amazing job of transitioning to big school - I am really proud!

It is so lovely to see so many smiling faces every single morning. This week in Prep Maroon we have been focusing on routines and expectations. These will be a big focus for us for the first few weeks of school.

KIT Folder

On Friday, you will have found your child's KIT Folder in their bag. This is our Keep In Touch folder. Inside you would have found a communication book. Please keep this book inside the KIT Folder at all times. This book is used for communication between home and school. If you have any notes or messages please write them in the communication book. I usually try to respond every day if possible. Please send the KIT Folder back to school everyday!

WEEK 2 Routines

This week we begin our specialist lessons - Monday and Thursday the children have PE & Music. Our library day is on Tuesday. This week we will continue to have children dropped off at the classroom from 8.30am and picked up from the classroom from 2.45pm. This is different from what was previously stated on our routines tab. In previous years we have started morning and afternoon procedures in week 2. At Orientation Day last year it was stated that these routines would start in Week 3 so we will follow through with this. If you are unable to collect your child, please do not worry. I will walk any children not collected from the classroom to the school "Pick Up Zone" (White Post) when the bell rings at 2.55pm. White Post is supervised by teachers and Administration until 3.30pm. Any siblings can meet their brother or sister at White Post.

Parent Information Night

This Wednesday night is our Parent Information Night. We are offering two sessions in the classrooms - 6.30 and 7.35pm. The 7.35pm session is a repeat of the 6.30pm session and is offered for parents who have multiple children at the school. Administration have a session running at 7.05pm in Siena Hall. On the night, we will discuss things such as Routines and Expectations, Behaviour, How you can help your child at home and Communication. It is a parent only event. If you are able to attend, it will be an opportunity to meet all the Prep teachers and ask any questions you may have. If you can't come, a copy of the information will be made available on your class website.
